Yummy Carrots Recipes

Buttery Cooked Carrots (www.allrecipes.com)

 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Cook carrots in a large pot of boiling water until tender. Drain off the liquid, leaving bottom of pan barely covered with water. Set the carrots aside.
  2. Stir margarine/butter and brown sugar into the pan. Simmer and stir until the margarine/butter melts. Return carrots to the pot, and toss to coat. Cover, and let sit for a few minutes to allow flavors to mingle.

Honey Glazed Ginger Carrots (www.allrecipes.com)

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add carrots and cook until tender but still firm, about 5 minutes. Drain.
  2. In a large skillet over low heat, melt butter with honey. Stir in ground ginger and lemon juice. Stir in carrots and simmer until heated through.
