Easy Salad Dressing Recipes

Balsamic Vinaigrette
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper
Blend ingredients, mixing well.
Oriental Dressing
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp. oriental sesame oil
1 tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. sugar
Combine oils. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Fresh and tangy, this dressing is ideal over warm
ingredients such as sautéed chicken or roasted
vegetables before tossing into salad leaves.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: None
Makes: 200ml/ 7floz
Serves: 13
60ml/ 4tbsp white wine vinegar
30ml/ 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard
20ml/ 4tsp clear honey
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

SWEET HONEY AND MUSTARD DRESSING
Ingredients
90ml/ 6tbsp extra virgin olive oil60ml/ 4tbsp white wine vinegar
30ml/ 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard
20ml/ 4tsp clear honey
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Method
Place all the dressing ingredients together in a dressing bottle or jam jar. Add seasoning to taste. Shake well until the oil and vinegar have blended together. Try spooning some of this tangy dressing is over warm ingredients such as sautéed chicken or roasted vegetables before tossing into salad leaves.
Once made can be stored in a cool place and kept for up to 1 week

Asparagus Apple And Chicken Salad
Asparagus Apple And Chicken Salad

Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh asparagus cut in 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoons pepper
- 1 cup cubed cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup diced red apple
- 2 cups torn mixed greens
How to make it
- Cook asparagus in a small amount of water until tender crisp.
- Drain and cool.
- In a bowl combine the next six ingredients.
- Stir in chicken, apple and asparagus and toss.
- Serve over greens.
